you can temporarily solder in 2 or 3 of lesser wattage in parallel at 2x or 3x the resistance to get the same resistance with the full wattage capacity just to see the change. Then get the right one in when it arrives.... I.e. if you have 2 1w 20k resistors or something in the ballpark, you get effectively 2 w 10k if they're in parallel.
If you don't, then make sure to buy a few around the range, 10k, 12k 15k etc, at the 2 or 3 watt range so you can test and find the optimal one.

15K got me to 409VDC on the PI and 301VDC on the preamp circuits, so that's perfect. A 51K on the other node off of the choke got me to 370VDC and 350VDC on the vibrato nodes, also. Still sitting at 500 on B+, which is what my primary filter caps are rated at, so I'll get some 80's in series in there this afternoon or tonight.
