Vibro Champ RAW vs NFB OD & Gain

Post by angelodp »

The question is if any have done both mods - RAW and NFB/switch or pot (shutting it down), and which one you prefer and why. My VC now has the RAW on a pot (footswitch mod did not work out), and I really am digging the tone and boost with the RAW function. I am wondering about the frequency response of the RAW vs the NFB mod (with I am going to implement similar to the RJ Sure Eagle build I did). I will report when I can hear both mods.

As I have installed the NFB similar to the Super Eagle, on a switch with no connection, 10k, or 5k, I do not hear the same effect as in the Eagle. Actually almost no effect? On any of the settings. The RAW pot really does make a big change as I eliminate the tone stack.
