5c1 ot anyone?
Hi. Thinking about building a 5c1. What OT was originally used in that amp?

The original was made by Schumacher , now long out of business.
It was 7K ohms.
Mojotone has a nice replacement with a 8 ohm tap on it also which will open the door to many more speakers other then a 4 ohm that came in every champ every made.

From the specs, the OT looks like standard tweed champ ...
(but certainly the US guys have easy access to the finest supplies)

If your in the states SND tubes has loads of them for 5 bucks.
Right now with the state of the world having only one tube manufacturer left on the planet I would be looking to get the output tubes first if I did not have fresh ones to start with already!
You will likely be able to get NOS 6SJ7s without issue for a good while.
