Bit of a weird one, but when I flip my DRRI on to standby after playing, it makes a sort of pop/buzz sound that quickly dies out. Sounds kind of like when a mosquito flies past your ear, except it just pops in instead of fading in.

You can try to place a 1k or 2k volt .01uf ceramic cap across the standby switch leads like Two Rock does on their amps

You simply need a new standby switch because it's pitted and the D.C. Power supply voltage is just arcing over for a millisecond when the connection is broken.
Spring for a few more bucks and have the repair tech install a DPDT type switch wired in parallel, this way it will last twice as long.
