Taming DR Reverb

Post by rutledj »

My DR build needs a little taming of the reverb circuit. About 2 on the dial is plenty of reverb for me. Is there a better way to had some more control to the reverb pot?

I would add a dwell control, replacing the 1M going to ground at the 12AT7 reverb driver grid with a 1M trim pot, taking the wiper to the grid.

Replace the 100K-L pot with a 100K-A pot.

I would first try lifting the bypass cap on that driver tubes cathode and if that does not provide enough smooth range the do job, if not then go with what Martin suggests, but order up a small ceramic 20 turn trimmer pot to use.

Just silicone glue it down.
