It’s the lead that has nearly equal resistance to the other two. You may be on to something! We should have guessed that when your previous measurements were so nearly a factor of two apart.

Blue and brown = 97.2 ohms
Brown and red = 89.4 ohms
Red and blue = 185.1 ohms

Looks like brown is the B+ to me

Bugger I hate adding to wires as I cut the red short as you do It looks bad to me and is so obvious. Thinking should I ask for a replacement transformer?

What's the manufacturer and model number for the OT? Do you have a data sheet for the OT? Where did you buy the OT?

TIP... Never cut the primary leads of an OT until you are absolutely sure they are connected properly. There's a 50/50 chance you will need to swap primary plate leads to correct improper NBF phase.

To be fair I didn't cut the blue or brown just the red as I expected it to stay were it was.
Info about transformer was earlier in the thread and I am contact with them to see if we can come to some agreement.

So did you connect it up the right way around and see if that solves the problem?

Had 10 minutes to spare so moved wires about a lo and behold we have a nice fender clean sound so brown was the B+. Will find out if I get the vibrato on both channels later let's hope not.
Wilk speak with transformer seller tomorrow.
