Since I can't see the schematic I'll just stand by my choke recommendation above. It's only $13 and I know it will work just fine. That's what Hoffman was using in his version of the Plexi6V6.

Your choke is on page 37, power supply schematic. It will work just fine in a plexi6V6.

<50ohms seems somewhat low for the application, will affect dynamic response and screen Vdc at full load. To be closer to a Marshall’s characteristics, I’d try it with some added series resistance, eg 470ohms. Bear in mind that when ABing, louder (lower dropper resistance in this case) is generally perceived as better, so try and normalise the gain and level of either mode, mentally at least, to have best chance of getting the desired results.
