Hello forum . I have been working on this build for a little while now and I am at a stand still as what the problems are . I am looking for a little guidance. I have attached the schematic im usuing . there are three main issues
1) if I hook up the feeback circuit I get a terrible hum
2) the Maximum volume output is way too low . I can crank it up full volume and its not a sloud as my 5 watt amp at 3 at half voule it has a nice clean sound but quite low
3) once cranked up at full volume its sounds muffled and muddy especially on the bass notes like a Barr F chord.
when I get home tonight I will post some pics and some voltage values because Im sure someone will ask .
thanks for reading

Swap the OT primary leads--that will take care of number 1.
Re: JTM 45 First build Low Power issues
#2 I've seen people mistake R18 for 470K instead of 470 causing that symptom
Re: JTM 45 First build Low Power issues
thanks jana switching the leads fixed # 1 . I guess there is a polarity issues there .
Re: JTM 45 First build Low Power issues
Found the problem with the low power . I had the 100 k resistor going to pin 6 and across from pin 7 and then to pin one instead of having the 100k resitor going to pin7 and then to 6 . Wow that amp is loud !
A little more cleaning up and I should be on my way
