No problem. It's more question of how sensitive the speakers are and whether they will be a good match.

Impedance and resistance are two different things (AC vs. DC).

When you measure the resistance of a speaker with your meter it will come in lower than its rated impedance.

16 ohm speakers will measure about 15 ohms DC resistance. You have two 16 ohm speakers there. Yay!!!

It's fine. Celestion speakers are spec'd at either 8 or 15 ohms.

A lot of speakers are noted as 15 ohm not 16 ohm and you are not going to hurt anything pairing with another speaker labelled as 16 ohms.

JTM45 into 2x12 with Celestion Alnico blue and Celestion Vintage 30 might to too bright but only one way to find out. Those Alnico's sound so good and I also like the Vin. 30.

I think I paired the blue with G12H

The wattage rating might be a problem, though. It'll get slightly more than half of the amp's output power, so something approaching 25W.

I've ran the blue 212 cab with my Stangray at high volumes and the speakers just keep on singing. I think the Stangray is 38w and a JTM45 should not be much more wattage.
