Identify these speakers

Post by 66tele »

These 10" alnico speakers are in my 1969 Marshall 1930 Popular. The magnet is stamped 10-100009 04 and the cone is stamped 38-35-3. The basket has an unusual shape....kind of a square shoulder. I can't find anything about them online. Any idea who made these?

Well,
They certainly don't look like anything I've ever seen from the Celestion/Rola family. I know it doesn't help very much, but it helps narrow down what they are NOT!

Thanks for your confirmation Gene. They didn't look like anything from Celestion/Rola to me either. I bought the amp about 10 years ago in Vancouver BC and it came wired for 120 volt AC. So I wondered if these were some oddball speaker used in export amps, or perhaps they are replacement speakers from a Canadian manufacturer?

Thanks rp! Those baskets do look the same as mine. I'll do some more research on Marsland. Most likely replacement speakers.
