Grounding Valvstorm chassis

Post by RockinRocket »

I am unsure of the grounding of a valvstorm 50 watt chassis. The buss bar from the back of the Alpha pots.. Is this where the contact to ground is from potentiometers to the chassis?? I read the metro 50 watt build instructions and thought that I would have to have a lead from the buss bar to a grounding lug but no mention of that? I really don't want to drill the chassis now I have sockets and most everything in there. Thanks

Ground it at the input.. err where is the 1st cathode grounded?

Is it the 50 with the preamp filter mounted near the AC input on the inside and the screens/mains mounted externally?
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

This chassis had a hole for the bridge diode mounted next to the mains. However I drilled another hole to putthe preamp filter next to the mains like you described.
