Nice, very nice. Just add some solder!!
In theory, theory is the same as practice. In practice it's different.

I've build a few and they sound good but what do you like about the JTM45?

I like something with a little more tube distortion. :D

Hi Mark
for me personally it goes back to my first encounters with a Marshall.
A friend of my brother had an early original and I was new to guitar
and was blown away with the tones. I remember it was pretty much cranked with a 4x12 and it was like hearing all my guitar heroes tones.
In the right hands...

This will be awesome. I built myself a JTM50 few years back and I love it.

If you want more drive Fowler then don't forget to crank the presence. It adds quite a bit :).

Finally got time to add some solder and fire her up.
Decided to go with the HT tapped bias (PT has a 50V bias tap)
460V on plates biased at 37ma. (a little on the high side)
Initial tones are promising, will do some burn in, roll tubes and go from there.
Will post pics of cab we she is done.

Thanks Dave
Valve Art 66's.
So far they settled about 2ma apart.
Seem to be decent tubes. Longevity...not sure,
hoping my bias circuit can accommodate 6l6's and el34's too.

Now that's a good looking JTM.
There's a feelgood factor when you play through an amp that's beautiful under the hood. That will have it.
Nice.

Looks nice!
On the Valve Arts KT66; I am using them in my Merren - transformer high voltage JTM45. They sound great and have been quite stable now over about 50 hours. I did have to adjust my bias circuit though. I just put a pair in my big bottle Rocket, though yet to fire it up.
Cheers,
Greg

Thanks Bob
agreed on the feelgood factor
Just like taking a little time with the builds lately.
Usually translates into decent looking inside and out.
Which doesn't always but more times than not turns out a good sounding
amp. At least a good point to start tweaks.

Hi Greg
what voltage you running the KT's at?
