Sweet amp Tony. That's a lot of work. Nice work on the heaters too.

Re: AO-43 to Silver Jubilee
Thanks guys!
I do have a laser... but it wasn't used here. This was engraved on my CNC then filled with enamel.
This build is going fast but it gets paused for repairs and two builds for customers in que now... so it may seem to trickle along. I have to put it out if sight, out of mind so the bills get paid, lol.
Anyway, just wiring left. Can't wait... gotta wait.

Hey dorrisant,
that is one beautiful build! I was searching on how to mill turret boards and found your posts. Thanks for all the tips you provided I got myself a Shapeoko CNC and want to put it to use soon.
I converted an AO-43 for a friend a while back. Changed the output to 6V6, just as you did. I dropped the tube rectifier. If the question from your first post is still relevant: I had a plate Voltage reading of 420V (diode recitifier). Good iron on these Hammonds. Added another preamp tube, heater voltage didn't drop. The OT is beefy. The amp put out 18V RMS, tested with a 1kHz sine wave @ 8R load. I made that 22W, since Fender does the same with the Deluxe Reverb
The chassis is tight, but your conversion looks very clean. Nice layout. I like your job on all those leads and nice details like those Allen screws.
Cheers from Germany!
Georg

More pics of the finished project...
Also, I posted a board layout for this amp on the first page. Enjoy. It is verified.

Re: AO-43 to Silver Jubilee
Thanks indeed for posting the DIYLC files for this. Do you recall if you ended up using 3x 50/50uF cap cans for this 6v6 build or did you go lower, please?
It's a beautiful build.

Re: AO-43 to Silver Jubilee
I'm building a second one of these and quite possibly a 3rd and 4th... Anyway, I see errors in my DIYLC layout. Please be aware and I will update the 1st post here when I have edited it well enough.
