lite llb ez81 to 5y3

Anybody have a schemo or point me to a marshall lite llb with a 5y3 recto - and advice on using the 5y3 instead of the ez81 -- I'm converting a ao-35 reverb amp and it has the 8 pin rec socket. There are converter plates available for the 81 - Thank you for the help -- amp garage is the best

If you are keeping the AO-35 power transformer, keep the 5Y3 rectifier and socket as-is. EZ81 is a 6.3VAC filament, whereas 5Y3 is 5VAC. You can swap the 5Y3 tube for a GZ34 to get a bit more B+ voltage.

Hello Tag,

I built a lite iib as per Josh's layout that i found in 18 watt.com. the amp doesn't break up at 5/6. i have to turn it almost all the way up to get a mild overdrive. i would like to get a nice jcm 800 type gain if possible.

i am using -
fender beck strat
celestion v30 closed back
no pedal

Any suggestion!
