If you need to adjust the return gain you can change the 470k return gain but similarly you could reduce the send input level by adjusting the 10k at the send side... possible mods that may help tame that loops open loop gain so it's not coming into the effects with too much gain.

I added the return trimpot - would lowering the 470k still be necessary? I changed the 10k from the send to an 8k with little results. I’ll see if I have any lower values kicking around.

I think lowering the inline value allows more signal to pass, increasing it attenuates the signal a bit more.. I'd think you'd want to go up, not down.

Below is a different shot of a Mini Plex MK2 with a passive loop. Doesn't look like he is putting the loop in the same spots I have (MV and treble) also looks like the wiper on the MV of mine is going to the grids of the power tubes, but he has the return jack of the loop doing that? Again - the below is not mine, but could be helpful for finding an ideal spot for the FX loop.

So I got rid of the mojotone FX Loop and went a different route... merlins tube fx loop from this thread: https://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=25351

Holy crap that was tight working conditions. I believe everything is functioning correctly and not distortion in the verb like the mojo had... but I’m not sure IF I need a coupling capacitor on the MV that connects to the FX loop... and if I do. What size? I added a .1uF but not sure if I should be going smaller, larger, etc.

I’ll post pictures once I get it cleaned up tomorrow!

A lot of wires so very difficult to show what’s going on. Basically followed the layout linked in my previous post. Overall sounds nice. My amp has a faint hum - but that might just be the nature of SE.
