That's rock and roll alright!Riffmonster wrote: ↑Mon Mar 29, 2021 5:37 pm Sorry Steve, it has been a while! I finally got some new tubes in and recorded a little bit with a load box today. I am quite happy how the amp sounds now, although I can imagine the tubes still need some time to break in.

Sounds like a fair amount of Normal Channel mixed in. What filter cap values and bias point did you end up with?Riffmonster wrote: ↑Mon Mar 29, 2021 5:37 pmSorry Steve, it has been a while! I used F+T 50 + 50 µF for all 6 positions. I tied together the positive terminals for 100µF on the first 4 position. Bias was set at about 38.5mA, plate voltage is around 445. Maybe it is a bit on the cold side?
The amp sounds kinda dark like it before I changed the filter caps. For the clip I uploaded, the Master was almost on max and the gain maybe around 3. Bass was on 0, Middle and Treble almost full and Presence at 5.
