Bright cap on 2204 type master volume.
Anyone ever experimented with bright caps on a post tone stack master volume like in a 2204?

yes it has been done. I cannot give you any values though. but I'd expect lowish values, perhaps using a resistor in series with the cap

I have a 4800pf cap on a switch there, I like the tone it gives me but naturally it gets really loud really fast. Is the resistor in series with that cap meant to solve that problem?

the resistor reduces the effect of the series cap. Try a 100 or 50pf cap on a 1MA pot with a 130k resistor in series

I ended up moving it to my second gain pot on a switch along with another bright cap.
It sounds better there to me.
