JTM format thing

Post by Reeltarded »

I have an aluminum 45 chassis, 5k8 ot (from an undisclosed location), 400v transformer (otw), NOS Jan Phillips 6L6s, NOS Mullard 4 notch GZ, Amperex and Mullard ax7s, actual brown phenolic (full-perf incoming!), blue caps, orange caps, mustard caps, lemcos, big Pihers, some IRCs..

Might wire the whole thing with pink. TONE MONSTER! (.. am I right?) of course not..

The only thing I don't have is a hutch and the final plan. Might make it a pseudo-ODS or plate drive with manual switch to dump stages for that "wish I had more gain" feeling. Another idea is get a new 100w chassis and add a couple things. (because crazy people do the same thing over, and over, and over..) I feel like proving restraint, but crazy people do the same thing over, and over, and over.. where have I heard that?

Anyhow. So, I have all this crap. I'm also stupid. Maybe I should keep this one simple.

Also, full perf to reimagine a 72 SL.

I'm trying to get excited!

Took a while for things to arrive. Instead of sectioning existing boards I made up my mind and staked a new one today.

Need to do metal work on chassis to fit transformers and external filter cans.

Looks like a surplus exploded in here.

New board repopulated and soldered. Iffy connect on trimmer. Might remove, so.. do not respond. lol I still might add board mounted PI node. Save me from metal cutting and cleaner look outside anyhow.

Everything is here. Finish metal on chassis tomorrow and mount the xfrmrs. Damn. Those are huge.

I deviated from 25u bypass on clean and used 10u's instead. .1u output couplers need something to do!
