Tremolo 50w service

Servicing a Marshall Tremolo 50w pretty much original a few things have been worked on. Power cord is completely crumbling in my hands. One wire on standby switch is undone. Pilot light broke.

Fun amp for me to bring back to life.

the 50w tremolos used the bass circuit, while theh 100w tremolos (supertremolos) used the lead circuit. So .1uf does not indicate 1968

Ahh I mean the pres and I meant Mustard .1. Earlier amp is different and later amps end up with mixed brand caps. I used the serial range to predict production above my JTM50. Look at the bias trimmer. I think it's mid 68 and lost it's head hutch.

It has a combo lip. Somewhere, there is a sad lonely and expensive cabinet remnant under a bunch of rotting food waste and ink stained Barbie heads.

Would you mind measuring the resistance of the HT winding? ie from the PT winding lug with anode of one rectifier diode to the anode of the diode on the other lug.

Would you mind measuring the resistance of the HT winding? ie from the PT winding lug with anode of one rectifier diode to the anode of the diode on the other lug.

It reads 77.4 ohms

From diode to ct 39.6 and 37.6 other side.

Plate voltage 421vdc

wow I LOVE THAT

It appears to have combo mounting holes for the front lip. I have only ever seen two heads done that way but maybe 10 heads with the lip.
