Jack 2000 duel super lead help

Post by Stevem »

I have one of jumper crazy gems on the bench .
Here's the issue.
Off of V2, down passed TR2 there is according to the schematic R58.

Now on the board itself it's labeled number wise for R58, yet the simble is a cap.

Anyone know whats correct?

Thanks in advance!.

TR2 is used to switch C24 bypass cap in/out. There must be a DC voltage applied to the gate of TR2 to turn on the switch. If R58 were a cap that would not work. It's obviously a mislabel on the board. Find D1 and see if there is a resistor connected to it. D1 and the real R58 may be located very near TR2. And there may not even be a R58.

Yes, that makes sense and thanks.
I also need to get TR2 ( J174 fet ) because it's missing!

This amp is going to be fun, I can tell.
