For me personally I didn't really experiment to deeply with the amp as it sounded pretty nice out of the blocks.. aside from tweaking the voltages and some different tubes..I wanted to kind of keep it true to the era imperfections included... If you read back through the thread marcos as well as others gave some good advice as well as tweaks here that you may want to try in this department..Hope it helps..FWIW the Mallory 150's I like to use for shaping bass frequencys.. They seem to give the low end a softer feel roll off than the O drops..why I used them there!! Good Luck..

Max, is that you playing? Nice tasty playing. Had a little of the Gattonesque picking mixed in with the traditional blues vibe. Similar to what my friend Josh Smith does.
I liked clip one the most. Having said that, the 70s circuits I have tried have paled for me when compared to the 80s grail non HRM Skyline circuit. I do use humbuckers though.
Max very cool indeed and nice playing as well.. I can really hear some similarties in yours and mine (except your a better player) Is that a real Dumble?.... They do have that kind of focused boxy center with that kind of fuzzy breakup in top end... You can really hear it better on your clips.. Sounds like your speakers had the alum caps.. Anyway nice playing again..Thx for posting these.. You ROCK!!..

Non HRM and non Skyline or with the Skyline tonestack but without the HRM circuit?
I like the following circuits most for non HRM. Note no classics. LOL
High Plate, Skyline tonestack (.01mid-150slope), non HRM. Fender iron 6L6
High Plate, Skyline tonestack (same as above), non HRM. Music Man iron, 6L6, special poweramp feedback tweak. Don't ask
Low Plate, Skyline tonestack (same as above), non HRM. Music Man iron, EL34. Standard feedback.
Tag's EL34 non HRM whatever that is

I think it is great that there are that many variants of the ODS, each one well suited for a certain taste and style and musical context. I like them all for specific kinds of music.
I see all these different amps as different musical instruments, just as with guitars. But if I had to chose one "for the island" it would be #075. The countless hours Steve (Farris) and Alexander have tuned the sound of this amp to become this kind of a perfect combination of all the virtues of the 70ies and 80ies ODS have not be in vain. Smooth but not a bit artificial, singing highs but never shrill, no distortion overtones in the OD mode that seem to be a bit separate from the natural harmonics. When I first played this amp, I could not believe my ears. Perhaps in some future there may be a possibility to do some clips with it and post them here.
What you hear are two different amps and three different guitars. One of the amps is an all original 70ies Dumble ODS (second generation #4X). The other one is an original from the seventies too, but I bet that only a handful of members here even know of the existence of this brand and model.
OK, here now is the riddle:
Which clip(s) sport the 70ies ODS and which clip(s) the other 70ies amp? And which kinds of guitars are played? And which amp is the other one?
