Another schematic from Aaron.

This thread: http://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=22855

Compare editable with the one Aaron posted.

CHECK for errors. Aaron states he is not 100% sure of accuracy.

David Root did a version of the SSS001 without vibrato and reverb.

The thread is here: http://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21508

and here:

CHECK for ERRORS! Note that David later changed the screen resistors from 1.5k to 1k/5w.

C-HRM & C-BM

Check & compare with layouts on website. May contain errors!

Compare with C-amps B+ rail and bias control.

Note there are two pages for each schematic.

I tried to find someone who could confirm the schematic matches the layout but unfortunately no one offered a review.

So my advice is IF you want to build this then to compare the layout to the schematic very carefully. IF anyone finds an error or discrepancy between the schematic and layout, please PM me with a correction. Thanks!

NOTE: there is an apparent error on the layout in that the bass pot is not being shown as grounded.

My understanding is the Lance Keltner YouTube may be this hybrid amp? I don't know that to be correct though.

There is a lengthy thread on a D-hybrid here:

This is what my D'lite-ish 6v6 morphed into. Started life as D'tite tweaked. Added mods that various TAG Wizards created: Deep switch, different PAB approach (adjustable resistive Bass/Mid ground lift), mid boost, LNFB lift, Gain Level pot switched to 250K... I think that's it.
The amp sounds great. Super big clean on clean side, and nice distortion on OD. Surprisingly loud for 20W. Mid boost is awesome!
I wanted a little more early breakup on clean side than this gives me, so I am going to convert it to Bluesmaster, and figured I should draw it out before I did. Because, some really smart guys advised me on some cool tweaks that it has. Hope it helps someone.
I looked for errors, but might have developed tunnel-vision. I think it's accurate, with the exception of the SPDT 8-4 ohm switch that I couldn't find a component for. You may want to verify it before using.
Thanks - Dave

Custom compenents make PCB express look better

Post by Sone Aura »

Here is a small example of my custom component library in one of the 4 or 5 computers I use. I REALLY need to file share! The custom components make working on vac tube schematics faster, and the end product is nice. I don't know if this will stick & stay of if there will be no attachment, but that should be an example of custom components from Companders to 6l6GCs.

THANKS FOR THESE IN EXPCB!!!

Post by Sone Aura »

I have custom components that drop right over most of these, and they clean up and look better, and I appreciate 98% of the work having been done!! THANKS AGAIN! Rock On! 1957 Supro Supreme. 1960 Gibson ES 330 TDC. The Supro is a transitional amp with Supro using up the last of their 6SQ7s before going to all 12AX7s in the next variant's preamp. Power tubes are 6V6GTs. 1st stage is a 6SQ7, gain factor of 100 with a 12AX7 phase inverter. Valco was famous for leaving half a 12AX7 unused. I am famous for trying to use it later, and using a pull pot to kick in an extra gain stage, or split tone stacks between channels.

Generously shared by Erwin_ve from this thread. Give his soundclips a listen, this amp has great tone and his playing is really splendid!

These are his revisions to the D-Hybrid schematic. Remember the B+ rail, bias, and more are on a 2nd page of the schematic.

He confirmed this as the current schematic that goes with the soundclips.
