Help locating a cap can: 1" diameter 100uF/250V....
Okay, I am now getting a bit desperate....
I am rebuilding the power supply from a really old amp, and I am looking for a pair of electrolytic caps rated at 100uF / 250 ( or better) volts --- but they must fit the 1" can clamps on the chassis. I cannot make the more-common 1 3/8" diameter cap can fit ---- too little space. I did find some JJ cans rated correctly for this application, but they do not fit the clamps (they are only 7/8" -- actually a bit less), and although I can hack something together to make them work, they are not going to look very pretty in this build. The JJs are my fall-back option, but I thought I would throw one last hail-Mary pass:
Has anyone encountered a source for 1" diameter electrolytic caps (canister type) of a 100uF / 250v rating?
Sorry to tie up a topic with this but I feel stuck between less than ideal options, and I could really use a save on this one.......

How about using a 22mm diameter radial lead cap?

Gut the original cans and glue the JJs inside.

Dang! There it is! You all are awesome!
I had tried navigating my way through the Mouser and Digikey on-line catalogs, but my search parameters yielded so many hits, and I had no luck sorting to find one such as this.
Thanks so much to all who replied, and a special "thank you" to davent for locating that link.
On to amp-building......

Yeah mouser is crazy to navigate through. I get the catalog sent so I can cruise through it while I'm in my easy chair.

Digikey, but not Mouser, has diameter as one of their sort filters for electro-caps so where critical, makes the search easy... and lucked out as there was only that one hit that met all the requirements (including in stock).
Take care!

That is good to know, Dave, in case this ever happens to me again.davent wrote:Digikey, but not Mouser, has diameter as one of their sort filters for electro-caps so where critical, makes the search easy... and lucked out as there was only that one hit that met all the requirements (including in stock).

I've been getting posting errors too, don't re-post when you get that, just go back to the page you were reading and reload it. Your new post will be there.
