Do we have any cigar smokers here?
I really enjoy premium cigars. I quit smoking cigarettes in 1986 and didn't pick up a cigar until 1994. My great-grandfather was a cigar/pipe guy so I grew up around it and never lost the love for the aroma.

I'll smoke a good cigar

I used to like the Rough-Cut Mountaineers but haven't seen them anywhere in a long time.
After that Backwoods (just like the Rough-Cuts) the normal ones not the silly flavoured ones.
I had a chance to smoke a real Cuban when in the Bahamas, wow what a game changer that was.
Haven't smoked any cigars in a few years now ...

I only smoke cigars when I quit cigarettes.
20 cigars a day is a bit much though.

Right now I'm enjoying a Perdomo Fresco maduro.

I don't smoke cigarettes, but I do like a cigar now and then. When I do, I like Casa Torano Toro's.

Yeah, those are out of my price league as well. I really enjoy just about anything by Perdomo and most of what A.J. Fernandez is blending these days is really good.

A buddy used to share his good cigars with me. The best one I tried was from Honduras. In Canada one time, I bought what was supposed to be a Cuban, but I didn't think it was very good, and later wondered if it really was a Cuban or not.
Haven't had a cigar in a long time - got tired of the two days of bad breath every time I smoked one.

The best thing to do for that is use a mouthwash for smokers and brush your tongue. The only time my wife complains is when she can smell it in my mustache.

Hey, another Torano fan! Exodus '59 is my go-to stick, but I keep a bunch of cheapies around for mowing the lawn and stuff like that. The Dominico's are good for that.ToneMerc wrote:I don't smoke cigarettes, but I do like a cigar now and then. When I do, I like Casa Torano Toro's.

Boots - I've heard that a lot of the really good cigar makers left Cuba when the government took over. So, a lot of the ones left aren't necessarily the good ones. Don't know if it's true or not, but it's what I've heard.
Re: Do we have any cigar smokers here?
Like anything, there are good Cubans and bad Cubans. I used to work with a guy who traveled extensively and used to remove the drives and batteries from his laptop and fill the compartments with Cuban contraband. He brought back good ones.

I enjoy a Fuentes Hemingway every now and then, but I prefer smoking pipes. I like English and Balkan blends most, but also enjoy a great Virginia blend like Marlin Flake.

Not sure about the Fuente but that Padron is amazing. It's a treat. For an ordinary smoker, the Padron 2000 is just fine.RWood wrote:Arturo Fuente Hemmingway Signature Cameroon Perfecto or
