This one says it's TA 4 63
2 mustards in preamp end. Look changed OT. Oh I hope it's an 8 ohm.

Changed OT? Question is when is it changed?
Rg2s? Seems to have survived well enough to this point without 'em. But it might be a question of 'how well do modern 6L6s hold up?'

If you can find a Carvin X-100 1979-1981 it has the transformers
606 code 4/8 ohm taps and will fit. Wrong date codes but sound great.
cloth covered wire it would look and sound correct.
Steve.

I need to make it selectable 4/8/16 so it jives with the way everything else wires up. I was hoping that sucker was an 8 ohm cause in the middle makes it work for me right now, tadaay. I have other broken junk to keep me busy until UPS arrives. Damn.
In other news, we found a good replacement ot for my super when that blows.

In the schematic there is a 2u cap in the vib circuit.
In my amp it's a 4u.
In my hand there is a 10u.
Talk me out of it.

Re: Bandmaster le' blonde
I see a 4uF in the scheme and layout?? 10uF will work, I think. You might even get a little more depth.

Re: Bandmaster le' blonde
Glasses might also provide more depth as well as resolution.
Good idea.
One last silly question(s) before I muss it all up. Unexpected transformer wires at bias board. Everything is unexpected when you don't are experienced. ..
One red wire and one unredddish wire are feeding the rectifier. There are three resistors 245k total from the unreddish rectifier feed and there is no red-blue. I wanted to add a bias pot and look what Jesus did to me.
What should I do? Is there an all around best and better setup? Of course there is. Guidance appreciated.

Re: Bandmaster le' blonde
That snake grey wire is where the bias is supposed to feed from. I guess I am looking for.a reason that it would have been moved because that guides my next idea, that is what I am wondering.

Re: Bandmaster le' blonde
It's hard to see but it looks like the bias is being tapped from one side of the HT winding Marshall-style. Is that the case? Nothing wrong with that, but I wonder what's wrong with the real bias tap (red/blue)?
