picked up a sweet 1965 super reverb recently and for the first afternoon I had it the reverb worked fine. from the next day on it hasn't worked properly.
with the reverb knob all the way up theres extremely faint, not splashy verb but if I bump the amp you can hear the classic crash and splash.
i've tried what seems like just about everything troubleshooting wise but can't seem to figure it out. what should I try next? here's what I've tried:
-new v3 and v4 tubes
-new reverb transformer
-new tank and rca cable
-cleaned jacks and pots
-tried a new pot
thoughts?

Re: weak reverb in my super reverb
Is the signal getting to V3, maybe the little 500pF high pass cap to its grid is bad?
Is the V3 cathode resistor and bypass cap good? Cathode voltage?
Are the 3M3 / 470k / 220k mixer resistors (and connections to them) good?
Those single core hook up wires, eg from the reverb control, can fracture.
V4 820 cathode resistor ok?

You need to take the tank out of the bag and confirm that both long springs are still connected at each end to each transducer.
First off though I would simple spin around the rca reverb and send jacks on the rear of the amp as sometimes tarnish can build up enough to make for a poor connection, this the same for the connector at the pan end!

Re: weak reverb in my super reverb
thanks guys! I resoldered some of the V3 tabs as they looked visibly stressed and that did the trick. Back in business

Cool, but you should look over the whole amp as if it did that on one socket then others could be on the way out also, I would also pull the cap can cover and look at those solder joints also!
