The Mojo cabs are not bad for the money are they? You going to build two?

Man, every time one of you guys builds a new Marshall, it gets me jazzed.

Is the JCM 800 'thee' Marshall aside from a full stack Major.
I mean it seems that the Marshall designs can get a good sound with a 50w power amp.

I absolutely have no use for one but I want to build one!

Mark is this a 1959 circuit?
Tom

Don't let that smoke out!

Yes I'm building one for Derrick at Revv Amps and the other for myself.

The second one is prepunched 69 chassis from Valve Storm comes with blank front so I can drill my own faceplate design. This will be my first one using this new chassis and if all goes well I will build more.

Tom yes this is the 1959T chassis made into the AFD #39 and I'm using DarkBlueMurder's schematic. I call my amp the Hot Rod Plexi (HRP).

It is a lot of punching and drilling but I enjoy that process of building.
I would love to build one of these. Do you perhaps have some faceplates available?

Hey Mark,

Sir, I see what switch 2 does bringing in a bypass cap.
But what does switch 1 do? It looks like you're choosing another resistor but it's the same as the one already in the circuit....

Thanks

If you are referring to switching the two 10k resisors, the switch parallels the two resistors halving the resistance.

John

Thanks, I thought it was switching one or the other but see it now, doh!

Yes it has two 10K resistors, you could play around with the switches to your taste but I built it just as shown.

Derek from Revv amps arrived late last night on his way to visit some distributors along the way before NAMM, dropped off his Hot Rod Plexi for me to look over, I'll post the findings of why it died. :D

I run a Revv Generator 120 just for fun, shakes the whole house.

The amp is working well for me but I see it could use some solder joint touchup, I was sick and in a hurry when I was building it.

I think I see what's stopping it... There is a handbrake there in the top picture... It's probably engaged.

It looks great to me..

Where do you buy those terminal posts, like the one you have near the can capacitor with the 10K connected?

Those threaded turrets are common in military, avionics, or industrial electronics equipment. You can find a variety at Mouser or eBay...
