Re: Bandmaster Ultra Phonix Amp
Is that a 100k negative feedback resistor?
Re: Bandmaster Ultra Phonix Amp
Looks like 10k and 470r on the tail of the PI rather than 22k and 100r. Maybe the mid and bass caps in the tone stacks are both changed to .022? The mixer resistors going into the PI look like maybe 47k?

Blackface Bandmaster Amp
I thought it might be handy to have a blackface bandmaster gutshot for reference. Though it probably is not completely original either.
Besides cap-material changes, resistor material changes, there are also extra grounding spots in the UP.
And the wiring is more explicitly in 90 degree angles.
More?

Re: Bandmaster Ultra Phonix Amp
the tone stack is the same as the blues master150k/120k plates 150k plate 2.2k cathode.... the 120kplate shared cathode 900ohm, resistor. normal channel looks like 330pf .022/.022 47k slopev1b coupling cap looks like .05uf......... vib channel 250pf .022/.022 47k slope... v2b coupling cap looks like .1uf. and a few caps added to the optocoupler.
power tube grid resistors changed too 5.1k
this is what I see

Re: Bandmaster Ultra Phonix Amp
It's good that someone has finally cut us enthusiasts a break. I'm surprised as the circuit doesn't line up with descriptions I've read of the amp. I've mainly heard talk that it is loud and clean. Looking at the circuit I doubt it would be any cleaner sounding than a regular Fender amp.
Look forward to reading the various talk about people's findings. I expect the usual controversy around this amp.

Re: Bandmaster Ultra Phonix Amp
The Dumble bluesmaster I built has the best clean sound of all the dumbles I've made. It's lovely and full and LOUD. If you like fender cleans then the BM is a great place to start. reminded me of a twin but nicer sounding when pushed.splgeo wrote: ↑Sat Jun 03, 2017 7:50 pm the tone stack is the same as the blues master150k/120k plates 150k plate 2.2k cathode.... the 120kplate shared cathode 900ohm, resistor. normal channel looks like 330pf .022/.022 47k slopev1b coupling cap looks like .05uf......... vib channel 250pf .022/.022 47k slope... v2b coupling cap looks like .1uf. and a few caps added to the optocoupler.

the "hotel Hog" has some differances like the normal side has typical fender values
Re: Bandmaster Ultra Phonix Amp
Also with BM channel add the Mega-Boost (lifting the mid pot ground).
