Anybody seen this or tried it?
I was out looking at amp sites and I ran into this. I am familiar with the idea of a cap in the feedback circuit but not the use of anything that suggests it can eliminate 'ice pick' treble. Thoughts?

Seems to make logical sense to me, it's filtering the NFB frequency range to only cancel the higher frequencies instead of all of them, so that you just attenuate the higher end in a more targeted approach.

I've used this on Marshall style amps. You can experiment with it to get some cool sounds. Check out the Cameron mods to see it implemented. It is also a good way to add some bottom end to the amp (well, subtract the top, but you know what I mean).

Hm. I don't really have ice picky amps but then I have spent a lot of time and $$ on speakers. But since you are saying positive things I will clip something in an amp I have to see if I can hear this affecting the sound in a positive way. Honestly, it seems a bit hokey vs. a Presence control but I will not judge at this point. Thanks.

I seem to recall caps being put across the feedback resistor to correct phase too. I think I read it in one of Merlin Blencowe's books.
