Re: Treble pot on RF #102
Some amps used an on-off-on switch for R/J, to get PAB in the middle position with no wiring change required. I don't know about 102.

Re: Treble pot on RF #102
Hello, If I may go back a couple posts and comment about 1/2w metal films. I seems to me, for high plates, Dumble favors Roderstein MK3 1/2 watt metal films. Sometimes he'll throw in a few NTEs. Also Roderstein Mk3 on high plate cathodes. I bet if you look under the goop in the real #102 that is what is used. Also those Q-line Draloric he uses on the preamp board are all 1/2 w. Actually slightly less if you look at the data sheet for LCA0411. The exception would be the NFB resistor. I think KOA speer 1/2 w metal film is a perfectly acceptable sub for the Roderstein.

All good stuff though guys.
Anything regarding RF #102 or Dumble components is good with me.

I'm surprised these pots aren't available new, the same goes for the 350K tapped pot, the taper is nothing like the originals. I have mentioned this to Weber etc who sell them but there isn't much interest.
Yours Sincerely

I might go with the small chickenhead knobs, not sure yet.
Received my green mini switch tips yesterday.
The green light looks good.

are you going to do the FET?
I still haven't done one yet in 5 builds!!

The FET board is there... still needs a trimmer, though. Looks like it worked out ok. That was a tight squeeze in transitioning from PCB to eyelets.

ah yes, I can see it.
I've ordered one of these chassis and boards from Taylor to build my last 'Dumble' so I might as well do it 'properly' and do the FET this time when I do it

Re: Treble pot on RF #102
I've a feeling the postage would be more than the items as I found out when ordering some knobs from Allied electronics in the USA.....$55 postage for $20 knobs that was added as I paid so I couldn't retract.

Yes that was my case as well when I ordered these. But since you live in London I will give you a UK source that kept popping up and it took me hours to find a USA distributor.norburybrook wrote: ↑Sun Aug 13, 2017 10:42 pm I've a feeling the postage would be more than the items as I found out when ordering some knobs from Allied electronics in the USA.....$55 postage for $20 knobs that was added as I paid so I couldn't retract.

thanks Mark...........model railways! who'd have thought. Funny I was talking to an old bass player friend I hadn't seen in a while the other day and he's building a very elaborate model railway in his garden.

Re: Treble pot on RF #102
wow..thanks guy's sometimes knowing the correct term for a component search is all that's needed otherwise you search endlessly.
I realise however I have the wrong kind of 'Bat's on my switches so there wont work
In future though I will use the regular bats so I can have coloured switches.
