Love the bird! Nice pile.
I have one that came with a tag said "Mockingbird Standard (PRO) in koa about the same date. I bought it new out of the last box we opened in a 10 hour testing binge. heh
Thanks. This one is hard rock maple. I ordered it from Skip's Music in Sacramento in 1980 and have had it ever since. 10 hours is a long time! Rich's from that time are really nice instruments.
I would really like a doubleneck. I only had once chance to get the perfect one and it was in 1984.. wha wha. MY Eagle is maple and my Bich is koa. this thing is my heart.

Wow!!! She's a beauty. The workmanship on old Rich's was outstanding. Thanks for posting this. Don't think I've ever seen one with flame in the wings like that. Dead sexy.
BTW, did you move the strap button near the neck to the back of the guitar? The only issue I had with mine is the button pulling out of the original location.
My DIY travel-sized headless telecaster. Hipshot bridge system, Dimarzio pickups, quartersawn neck with thick asymmetrical soft V profile, alder body with flame maple top.

Nope. It was where it is when I got it. The other guitars are a lil earlier and they have it up and out so you have to use locks.
Yea. Came with locks, but actually pulled the screw out of the wood. Back of the guitar is probably a better location.

Definitely not my taste but first grade workmanship, does it seem

Is there something you're doing wrong ?
haha, many things, just ask my girlfriend
Here's that guitar in action. I used all digital sims (Bias AMP) for that clip. It sounds much better now with the SLO preamp, but it was finished a bit too late for this cover.
Here’s one that I built a while back that is now my favorite strat. I got the flame maple/Brazilian rosewood/clay dot neck from Musikraft and had to build a pretty guitar around it. SRV meets CAR.
