Dumble video/sound clip reference, real Dumbles only please
Moderators: pompeiisneaks, Colossal
ODS #44
Fourth and last one: Still ODS #44 on the left. That was quite a party - forgive the players for not being overly accurate.
BTW, the song title means "Got tobacco?" in the german home town of the former Dumble and Boogie import company "Applied Acoustics".

Obscure clip of David Lindley jamming with Rory Gallagher and others. Cool to hear the contrast of sounds https://youtube.com/clip/UgkxhxQrf5hgGj ... 31juuRBjJi

Here's a Jesse Nestor composition. The black and white lap steel is playing through #88.

Anyone know what circuit number this might be?

Note the high filter steps are evenly spaced all the way up ;^) [edit: Unlike what the hand-drawn schematic for 002 would suggest, and similarly the Accent switch is said to be the familiar fixed Presence, again unlike the 002's "Mid" switch.]
Also interesting is that the trem doesn't work very well: "it was a little finicky on the amp so we decided not to use it because we couldn’t get a consistent result."

Very cool, thanks Martin.martin manning wrote: ↑Sun Dec 03, 2023 1:44 pm Also from Vertex's "Amazing Amps" series... ODS Voiced to Dumble's Personal Specs (ODS #195)
I actually played that amp about 6 years ago and it was in a different cab. It looked a little worse for wear. 6L6 power section.

Nice! I hadn't noticed the center punched and filled pointer indices before. Kinda home-made looking, but very consistently done.

I wonder if it needs something like a simple recap. I could imagine owning Serial #1, you probably wouldn't want to change out any original parts, but with the amp's age, those electrolytic caps could be on their way out. This may be the result.martin manning wrote: ↑Sun Dec 03, 2023 1:42 pmAlso interesting is that the trem doesn't work very well: "it was a little finicky on the amp so we decided not to use it because we couldn’t get a consistent result."
