i was ordering many times from US, it is like 150usd for trafo, 60-100 usd for shipping, and on all it is minimum 25%
250x1.25=312 usd, yo pay double, too expensive, and for unknown result
sure bet is only original fender transformer, SF, BF, but usually are only 4 ohms.. nothing to be worried about because they are good also for 8 ohms..
the sound is in lamination and wax/impregnation

Some 15 years ago I did my last order from Brian Wallace. Can't remember it being this expensive. Hell, I imported a complete Metro JTM45 kit in 2007 for $168 shipping and less than 10% customs. Still expensive, but 100 bucks shipping on a transformer is outrageous in comparison...

It's the "unknown result" that begins to worry me.
