I used my ES-339 to EL84hrm with DIY tube spring reverb (a very little reverb) on the passive loop and going into single RWB 12''. I used one SM57 and one other dirt cheap mic about one inch from the grille. The mics were connected to TB202 mic pre into M-Audio soundcard of my PC. Zero processing on the PC.

After 30 sec I turn the PAB on. The OD master was on 5. The drive was at... quite high. I'll record something with less drive and more sivilized when I have the time.

Mat nice mids. I love the mini el-34 (el-84) It has that VOX chime.
I would like to build one can you share the onfo on this one ?
If you can be so kind. I need a low watt amp that sounds good.

Thanks for listening and for the kind words ! Sure, I'll share everything. I'll try to answer every question I can (quite busy these days at work...erhm.. working right now )

The power section is same as on AX84.com HiOctane. The mid pot is replaced by one 120k resistor. Pre volume is a trimmer (usually always on twelve o'clock on my d-style builds.) Bass and treble pots are still wired wrong way..krhm. The layout is far from as in original amps. The voltages are bit strange right now. 260-270V on the EL84. V1a,b about 155V. V2a 145V and V2b is 185V ??!!
PT is a small toroid. OT is Hammond 125ESE (IIRR).
The HRM settings are super sensitive for the OD sound. Bass trim is opened as little as possible. OD entrance trimmer is less than 50% on.

The preamp values IIRR are as on 101-HRM schem.

Those bass trims always seem to function as on-off switches, don't they? A PITA.

Make the bass trim 500K for a more usable range out of it. Less on-off and more range from it.

Is the bass trimmer typically 1M?

I have these values on a couple schematics TMB, 250K, 20K, 1M

On the Brown Note Blue Monkey it has all 250K trimmers.

Then on another HRM layout it shows the typical 250K, 20K and 1M.

I have been considering adding a HRM board to my D'Lite.

1M, 250K, 25K are the standard values.

My suggestion was to change the 1M to 500K.
Simulate it in TSC with all linear pots, you'll see.
