David Lindley Touring with Jackson Browne in 2010

Post by blinddog »

http://www.jacksonbrowne.com/news/2010/ ... ope-summer

Larry Carlton playing with Steely Dan last summer.

Mr. Dave and Jackson touring this summer.

Anyone think we might know whomever's amps Mr. Dave will be playing on this tour? Didn't he sell off his HADs?

For me "Runnin' on Empty" was that D sound I heard first, and still might be my favorite.

It does make me sad to think we won't get the chance to see Robben Ford reuniting with George Harrison to continue the trend next summer, but as he said "all things must pass."

Have a great weekend everyone.

That was the tone that started me on my tone quest, up until then I just plugged in and played, it was that tone that made me realize that an amp can be part of the instrument.

Could be a lot of "unplugged" content, but there is a band with them so you never know. Still worth seeing even if they play through line 6 practice amps...

I know he sold the snakeskin singer, which I believe is the one he had been using most recently. (At least when he played electrically)
He may still have the blue light special.

From what I've heard, he may have sold all his Dumbles. He does suffer from extreme tinnitus and may be doing mostly acoustic stuff on the tour.

That would be too bad, I would like to hear him crank that #8.
