rj had built this Pocket Rocket a while back for me. I recently acquired a 30 watt Scumback G12H-55 online so I ordered a 1X12 Mojotone open back cab in the same purple elephant as the amp. I had the grill done in large checkerboard. the cab arrived this afternoon so I hooked everything up and tried it out...wow is the only word I can think of.

Very nice

Re: New Photo: Pocket Rocket
Wow! That's a beautiful rig! Plus, I'm sure it SOUNDS awesome as well. What more could you want?
BTW, is that a '03 WRX wagon in your avatar? Very nice! The wheels add a nice STI-ish touch. Fun, aren't they!? I drive an '04 wagon and I wouldn't trade it for anything (under 50k)...car-wise at least. I can get my whole bass rig in it and get to the gig fast!

If you like the WRX you will love the Volvo V60R or V70R.
Do you have any audio clips of the amp?

It's a 2002 that I've had since new. The wheels are actually the BBS 2004 STi wheels, the only year they made them in 5X100, got'em cheap on NASIOC. Afterwards, they were 5X114 only.
I wouldn't trade it either. I've put in an APS turbo-back exhaust, Grimmspeed uppipe, Perrin turbo inlet hose, Cobb Accessport (still tuned to stock). In May, I had DBA 4000XS rotors put on all around with Stoptech stainless steel lines, Hawk pads, and Motul RBF600 fluid put in. I'll be putting on Whiteline adjustable swaybars, endlinks, and steering rack bushings soon. I love my car and last weekend, I did my first NASA HPDE at Homestead-Miami Speedway. What an incredible experience that was. I'll post photos this week.

No clips until my son comes down from college in December, he has all the recording equipment.selloutrr wrote:If you like the WRX you will love the Volvo V60R or V70R.

I'm sure the Volvo is really nice; those Rs are fast, but it's also 10K-12K more than I paid for mine out the door.

Re: New Photo: Pocket Rocket
Meh, I'll stick with my crusty old Ranger pickup, but the amp looks sweet. What's under its hood?
Re: New Photo: Pocket Rocket
Very nice WRX! Those are all well-thought-out mods. So far, I've just done the uppipe and downpipe goin' into stock exhaust. I'd love to do more but, it seems all my extra coin has been going into amp builds. I'm going to have to look out for some of those 5x100 wheels.

Those photos bring tears to my eyes!(j/k).
One of the reasons for doing HPDEs is to learn to drive fast and safe ON THE TRACK. I don't believe in street racing.
Here are a few photos from last weekend at Homestead Miami (215 is my son's birthday)

Great shots! Nice to see you in front of that mustang!
Thanks for the craigslist listing, selloutrr! They've got a great used parts website...they've got a couple of things I've been looking for.

Re: New Photo: Pocket Rocket
I forget which year the WRX first came out '01 or '02? Anyway my mom got the first one in washington state, If you knew her you would think that really funny! (She is in no way the poster child for cool, hip, or fast cars). a silver wagon. She still has it, and has yet to put more then 10K miles on it.
The wife drives an '05 Volvo V70R. I wanted a sports car, she wanted a Volvo wagon, comprimise = V70R. The sweetest part is that it's a total sleeper, The WRX stands out and is well known as a rally car, but the R just looks like a soccer mom, then step on the 300hp+ super charger and it'll launch out 0-60 in 5.3 sec. Other then the safety features, the best part is the super charger, unlike the turbo where you feel the boost kick in around 3500rpms pushing your head back into the head rest when it engauges, the super charger is a smooth boost from 700rpms up to 7000rpms, giving seemless excelleration and a complete feeling of control with foot to road. It makes navigating traffic fun instead of stressful. Doing 85mph and still having instant get up and go! I've taken it out and hit 132MPH and had room to go.
Don't get me wrong I really like Both the WRX and R.
The WRX's turning radius beats the R hands down!!!
The R's interior is a limited run Orange leather - it would look great with your purple AMP!
