Hi all,
Some years ago I build a DC30 clone based on the ceriatone layout.
http://www.ceriatone.com/images/layoutP ... iatone.jpg
Since I'm a big Brian May fan and BM uses a vox AC30 NORMAL channel + treble booster, I would like to lift the tonestack of the first channel of my DC30 clone. But I'm not sure how to do this.
I assume that would do the trick to get into the ballpark sound of the normal channel on an AC30?
Thank you for your help.

Re: tonestack lift
CF or plate driven the TS is still very lossy. Lifting the bass pot's ground will get you a significant boost and flatten the EQ.

Re: tonestack lift
you could rewire the EF86 channel to a 12AX7 for a normal channel. You could also wire the jacks to get single or parallel triode. Or you could get real crazy and do a single gain stage switched to two gain stages in series for tons of gain like the Mazerati GT.
here is a schematic for all the AC30's without the trem channel.

Here's a schematic with the single/dual parallel triode input.

Thanks for your replies. (and sorry for my very late reply.)
Also thanks for the schematics.
I will try to lift the bass pot ground first though.
Thanks again
