Nice job. They look and sound real good. What kind of wood is the rocket cabinet? Looks killer. I will be at a music equipment swap meet on sunday in Nashville. There is a guitar show at the fairgrounds saturday but I have to work in the AM so i can't make that. If you go I may see you. We plan on getting a table there. I may bring my Liverpool clone to the meet just for fun. :)

Both amps sound good Strato. Nice playing as well. This is a timely post as I have been wondering how the Rocket I'm working on, is going to measure up to my Express. :D

Great tones on all of these recordings. Liking the Mississippi Queen the most.

Nice tunes - can you send me some Nashville water? There must be something special about that stuff.

Don't set them too close to the fireplace. They're already about to ignite!

That is some TIGHT double tracking on the Drop D clip. Wow.

Not a single-coil guy, huh?

Awesome sauce.

Hey Jeff! I'll swing by if I can, but I am pretty busy this weekend so we will see. The rocket cab is flamed maple, and the express cab is cherry.

Thanks man! They really are sweet amps. It's hard to capture it in a recording. I should have played my Strat or SG w/ P90's on a clip. Maybe I'll get around to it one of these days. But to answer your question, Humbuckers are my favorite.

Awesome!!! Excellent all around bro!

What mic(s) did you use, how close to the cab were they and what s/w did you use to record them?

Hey Larry,

Thanks!

I used an SM57 and a Cascade FatHead ribbon mic. Both mics are directly on the grill cloth, and they are right next to each other.

After that, they went through a pair of API 312's, into Mytek Stereo96, into a Digidesign 003, then finally into protools.
