SP-117

Does anyone know where one would purchase the SP-117 Inductor for this circuit? :roll:

It is a discontinued Triode part - keep an eye out on eBay. Or, sub another similarly spec'ed inductor.

Scroll through I believe there's suggestions for alternatives. I found that Triad SP-117 inductor once, the cost was outrageous though.

Thanks Gents! If i can find the specs, perhaps we can have a few made for everybody!

I don't use the inductor and my step filters work just fine...

There was someone a while back who did some SPICE simulations which revealed pretty much no difference between using an inductor or using a 100k resistor...

Now is it a 900mH or 900µH?

I believe it's gotta be .9h I saw the Spice sims that were posted and agree not any diference from a 50 ohm resistor or wire, but as long as wer are trying to be accurate..

Using china parts looks I was wong :shock: . It's been 32 years since I have used inductors or choke coils. Panasonic makes a choke coil 8200uH or 10,000uH. .820H or 1.0H

Most likely, but that is really expensive for what it is (especially if you are not in the EU)

I'm confused. Is the inductor

900uH

or

900mH

It doesn't seem to say on the schematic and I can't find a spec sheet for SP-117.

1H = 1,000,000 uH
