100k Plates and F style stack non-hrm clip
Amp has 100k plates on V1, 220k/150k on V2 Preamp and master both at noon, Bass and Treble both at noon. OD trimmer at 50% OD drive at 2'oclock Level at 7:30 and mid boost on. This amp has a Blackface Princeton stack (no mid knob and a .047 connected to the 10k on the bass pot) The only effect is the 2 tube reverb built in the amp. Single 12" TonkerLite. Player is Tim Betts (cousin of Dicky) who normally plays with C.J.Chenier but sat in on this gig with some local Phoenix guys. The guitar is a Zion with active. I cut and pasted a few solos together, all of which are at the exact same amp settings. Recording quality is not great, it was done on a still camera in movie mode.

So it's in OD, right?
Re: 100k Plates and F style stack non-hrm clip
Yeah OD always on - he's one of those guys that won't use a footswitch and does everything from the guitar, never touching the amp all night unless more volume is needed.jaysg wrote:So it's in OD, right?

Re: 100k Plates and F style stack non-hrm clip
What is the power section in that amp? Skip
Re: 100k Plates and F style stack non-hrm clip
Not sure what you're asking - it has a Bassman PT and a prosonic OT, B+1 is 465V(486 on standby) and dropping string is 390R,3k3,27k,2k2 with 150k to ground. The reverb shares the PI node (B+3). This is a dual 6L6 cathode biased amp using 500 ohm (drops 41 volts for both tubes) with 100uf bypass.Luthierwnc wrote:What is the power section in that amp? Skip

Thanks Heisthl, that was exactly what I wanted to know. Good playing and tone! It looked like a good room, too.

Besides the 220k/150k on V2 Preamp, what kind of component values are you using on v2.heisthl wrote:Amp has 100k plates on V1, 220k/150k on V2 Preamp and master both at noon, Bass and Treble both at noon. Re: 100k Plates and F style stack non-hrm clip
Almost - the entrance is 220k and when I use a 100k ratio I feed it with 150K.

Re: 100k Plates and F style stack non-hrm clip
For a while I had my #124 clone set up with 100k on both sides of V1 and the 220/150k on V2 with values similar to what you posted. It sounded very good like that.bluesfendermanblues wrote:
