I ordered mine from Doug on 3-19-04 and received them at the end of April. He talked about starting with 5.2k and ending up with 6.6k. I don't know the exact evolution of his experiment. Maybe I misunderstood something. He discussed a lot of experimenting on the OT. I can try call him tomorrow and ask if that would help.

From the information I've received, the Two Rock is using an 6.6k impedance OT for the Ruby.

I'd be interested in a couple of the 6.6K OT's.

What I've heard.

I heard that the output transformer was originally 6.6K primary with M19 steel. I have heard that the 5.2K primary also sounds very good.

I'm not too sure what Doug Holt ended up with. The last time I sent him an email he told me the transformer that he liked was a transformer with a 5K primary and the M27 steel.

I've sent him a couple of letters and I don't want to hassle the guy any further. If someone is close by or friends with him, I'd love to know what he settled on and a few internal shots of his amp would be great too!

This probably only adds to the confusion, but I hope it helps.
Yours Sincerely

Hey Moose,
I'd be interested in a set also. My order of preference:

1) Dual primary
2) 5k
3) 6.6k
