Re: Complete #124 with footswitch
Fantastic.
One little thing, I think the FET board has two 8k2 resistors. (Instead of one 8k2 and one 2k7)

Re: Complete #124 with footswitch
Didn't 124 have a 15pf bright cap on the master??
Re: Complete #124 with footswitch
The Schematic note about no current midi cable working is incorrect, unless I'm reading the note wrong. I've been using HOSA MID-4XX (410, 425 extc.). It has metal ends and all pins are connected. Tony thanks so much for doing this, I'm sure the nit picky revisions are seemingly never ending, please post the Visio when you think it's complete.

I think it's supposed to read: N/C- No CurrentThe Schematic note about no current midi cable working is incorrect, unless I'm reading the note wrong
MIDI Cable Works Between amp and Footswitch-Make sure cable has all 5 pins active.
At least that's how I'm reading it

+1 on the great work Tony!

Shouldn't that be N/C "Normally Closed"

Re: Complete #124 with footswitch
I have been working on a printout pattern to etch the PC boards for the #124 as these are going to be different than those I already posted for the HRM.
I discovered a small error in the posted layout. The two pins of the PAB relay should not have any connection.

Re: Complete #124 with footswitch
One tiny thing... the Lug 1 of the Treble control goes to the other common lug on the relay, not the normally open lug. At least thats how the schematic for 124 reads. and the lead that goes to the pole on the R/J switch that doesn't have the 100k resistor goes to the normally connected.
Thanks!

Re: Complete #124 with footswitch
I initially posted about the footswitch in this here: http://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... t=5pin+din, asking essentially how it’s done properly and Gil posted a gut shot of his own. Then, I drew a layout which was verified by Gil.
Here's a pic of my FTSW:

Oh, it works fine! I subbed the 240-degree 5-pin DIN jack on my Overtone for a 180-degree one so that a MIDI cable works for backups sake. Works great, the cable I’ve tried is a HOSA by the way. I’ve wired up my FTSW just the way described in the original thread with no problems at all. However, if you are building this switch for your Overtone, you’ll have to rewire the OD relay as it is wired backwards! (thanks ic-racer)The Schematic note about no current midi cable working is incorrect, unless I'm reading the note wrong. I've been using HOSA MID-4XX (410, 425 extc.). It has metal ends and all pins are connected.
I originally drew that up, it means “not connected”. Sorry for the confusion.Shouldn't that be N/C "Normally Closed"
