Nice shots. I noticed the 100K with the 0.047uF, though in all fairness the amp does appear to be a 100K plate resistor model.
Yours Sincerely

That's Jackson Browne's ODS, Doug Roccaforte took those pics when he serviced it a while back I believe.

Re: More Dumble Porn
It's an interesting specimen, Low plate Classic with a Mid boost and a trimmer for the negative feedback. It does indeed have a .05 mid cap, a 100K slope and plates. I'm pretty sure this amp is on "Cannonball Shuffle" off Robben Fords "keep on running" album but that is a speculation- I know he used it for a couple tracks on that album.

Thanks for the comments... I thought I remember Doug posting these pics but it's been a while back!!
Cannonball Shuffle is definitely one of my fave RF tones... Do you know if that was his Baker... Sounds like it to me!!!

Re: More Dumble Porn
I wonder, being that it ws a tribute to freddie king, if he didn't play a 355 or similar? If I ever get the chance I'll ask him!

Cool!!!
The only reason I asked is I saw him here soon after the release of KOR and he used the Baker most of the night and when he played CB it pretty much nailed the tone...If I remember right he was playing the Tan Dumble.. Not sure if it was the the Green Led one or not... The amp itself looked like an older one..Anyway be great to know!! Thanks..

Re: More Dumble Porn
Are those 10uf caps on the preamp cathodes or 5uf?

Re: More Dumble Porn
On the clearer pic I have only the first stage can be clearly read, 4.7uf@50v. All the cathodes can ne read at 1500, and they look like Mepco resistors.

Thanks, that's what I thought. If that's the amp he used on Cannonball Shuffle it's a great sounding one for sure.

Re: More Dumble Porn
I know it's on that album somewhere, but the tone on that song is so different from the rest I'm simply making a guess

Circuit Board
Nice photos. I'm new. It sounds like you're saying this is an actual build by H. Dumble? So, is that circuit board a piece of masonite panelling, because it looks like it. And are the holes in it just holes or are there eyelets or turrets used somewhere? If it's just panelling I really have to hand it to the builder because that's handy and functional.
Re: More Dumble Porn
V2a cathode can be read with a little zoom. It's 4.7uf too.Pre od trimmer resistor's colors read 120k.Same value with 124 so probably the trimmer is bigger than 100k too.Another interesting thing is V1B coupling cap is smaller than 05uf.Looks like 02uf to me.On the clearer pic I have only the first stage can be clearly read, 4.7uf@50v. All the cathodes can ne read at 1500, and they look like Mepco resistors.
Re: More Dumble Porn
different fb resistors too,
2k7(wth trim pot in series)-270 ohm to ground

Re: More Dumble Porn
Would it be safe to say this is pre-#94 in terms of serial number? The main board component layout looks like a transition between the #40 style and the #94 and onward style.
