Bias Pot fail safe
Does it make sense to tie the input lug (from bias board) and the output lug (wiper to the 220Ks) together just in case the pot ever failed? Particularly on a build, where the parts are probably coming from china? I realize old fenders rarely fail, just wondering if this even makes sense. I feel like it would still work as usual, but if the bias pot failed, it would just go to full -VDC. Am I right?

Yes, correct. This DR replica has a fail safe bias: https://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 61#p428861

Really cool repurposing of that convenience outlet mounting hole. Very clever , and I will credit you if I ever implement one . Cheersmartin manning wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 9:55 pm Yes, correct. This DR replica has a fail safe bias: https://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 61#p428861
