Re: educational
I think you can still read the first chapter for free. Just go to Merlin's website.

Re: Help with hum problem on homebuilt Tiny Terror
Make sure all the connections are ok. This amp should be quite loud. Re hum -- is it 50Hz (60Hz)? Or 100Hz (120Hz for US)? There are various reasons in each situation. Many times it's just a ground loop (if the hum has a fundamental frequency of 50/60Hz). This kind of hum can also be introduced by f...

Re: Bias and standby
I'd do the same. However, this wouldn't work in a situation when you have the Stand-by switch on the CT of HT winding (what I prefer).

Re: Capacitor Orientation
Thanks to this forum I learnt about this phenomenon! Thank you Guys!
I've allowed myself translating the information to Polish so my friends in Poland could benefit from this knowledge as well!

Signal shielded wire
Hi Guys, I was wondering what sort of shielded wire are you using in your amps? And (even more important ;)) -- where do you source it from? In Australia I have an access to a very thin shielded cable that snaps almost all the time once it's solderd. It's like 0.5mm in diameter... Looking for someth...

Re: Dual Output Transformers
The connections as in model 10p is how I understood it. Thanks for the scans.
Just to be clear -- I'm not planning on building any power transformerless amps at any stage. Nor would I ever recommend to anyone building such. I know the risks and would never do this

Thanks Steve! If you scan those pages by any chance -- I'd love to see them.
NB: running the UNIVOX amp straight from the line (without PT) sounds very risky...

Re: 6V6 project ideas needed
With only 3 ECC83s you'll need a very serious channel cloning if you require 2 channels. Effectively you can use only 2 (2.5 at most of them) since you want PP power stage. I'd suggest a single channel -- the amount of gain you can then control with your guitar's volume knob. Something a'la Atomic w...
