Bill: Bring the chassis to me I will make you a circuit board from 1/8" g10 that will have noval sockets mounted to it just as fender did. I have used this approach before with great success. Re: input resistor in liverpool

I definitely hear a difference between none, 15K and 33K. At least I think I can  None sounds more strident, edgy and is more quiet when shutting down the guitar volume or not plugging in but susceptible to picking up RF depending on the grounding scheme. The capacitance of the tubes can be all...

Re: Suhr Badger 35 Circuit???

Hi Guys: Not a builder, just a lurker here. I went to the NY amp show today and played a lot of amps, but the one that floored me was the Badger 35. Is this a "known" circuit that has been tweaked or something unique?? What i really liked is that is retained excellent note separation even as the ga...

Re: Faceplate making material

Repeat? Dont see the original, John. I repeated what I said in February 4 posts up LOL Reverse engrave on plexi is still the most professional way to do it. Many laser shops will do it cheap if you give them full Corel artwork ready to go. Be careful on what you use as a fill though since some pain...

Re: Fuse Sizing for Amp With Crazy Heater Current

scandinavian amps often fused the heathers. two ac50s I saw recently both used 10A for two el34s and 4 ecc83s The problem with that is the fuses and surrounding can get VERY hot! Usually you need to use a very low resistance fuse and check for heat around the connections. No Slo Blo, Canadian Marsh...

The web site looks like something from the eighties, but he claims you've install some.

Also, what is up with the BPSC?

Re: Dumble Angels Breath?

Maybe you misunderstood me. I meant the quote must be old Since Bruton has passed. Since it is a new quote as I read more carefully maybe he was using Brutons name in past tense or didn't know he wasn't with us anymore. He was a a great guy, I did a lot of work for him when he played with Bonnie. Al...

Re: line level reverb suggestion

I used to use a Boss RV-5 with my Dumbleator, then a Hardwire RV-7 which I think has a good reverb. The effect that shines on the Boss RV-5 is the modulation setting, kind of chorusy. Then I got a TC Electronics 'G Sharp' which is the lower end Delay/ Reverb from them. That really sounds good in th...

Re: line level reverb suggestion

I am currently using a Boss pedal w/ or sometimes w/o the Dumbleator into a #124, but am not happy with the results. Any suggestions on a better reverb unit is appreciated. I have tried a Fender Reverb unit but line level signal easily distort and overdrive the unit. Thanks If you still want a peda...
