Fender Pa100
I'm slowly but surely working on my bass players amp. I've got it designed and mostly planned out. As far as building I have stripped the PA100 chassis clean (was your typical sloppy mid 70's Fender junk full of errors) and installed the output transformer. Still ordering parts too. I'm waiting on ...

Cisco dumleator
These are mine. One is an EVM12L and the other uses a Swamp Thang. Very versatile, not subtle, even response and extraordinarily heavy for the compact size. Mine are oak so I added a couple pounds unnecessarily but if they were made of pine they would still be a load. sh Ha ha, I am building a d-la...

Re: Coax cable!
Rg188 is speced as SCCS (S/C Plated steel) OD=.1" Conductor .02" 29.4pf/ft Rg400 is speced as SC (silver plated cop) OD=.195" inner= .0384" again 29.4 Pf/ft I am using an intuitive guess that RG400 with its copper core and nearly double the size conductor is better suited to 7 foot runs from a DC re...

Re: Coax cable!
Yes, I didn't mention it, before I looked up the spec I used a neodymium magnet and the center conductor is definitely magnetic, the shield is not. Now I'm curios on the 400 spec. Hey, if it sounds good in the loop via a blind test, that's good enough evidence for me! The way Dumble's sound, there i...

Rg188
Hi Group, I purchased some Rg 188 and the inner stranded core seemed to be a bit stiff to me. From what I can tell digging deeper, the milspec is steel wire copper coated and then silver plated. This cable is meant to be operated up in the much higher frequency bands where the electrons stay on the ...

Re: D-lator S/P, TC G sharp
Thanks for the great reply's. I am committed to building a D-lator in the rack form -never know what that real estate could be used for. Gator makes a 2U case that is not much more than a brief case and pretty bullet proof. I also like the idea of having a purpose built D like head to stack the size...

D-lator S/P, TC G sharp
It seems the dumblelator has a lot of unpopulated real estate to me (in 19" form). There are some good posts on adding a parallel adaption mix /switch to the Dlator and recently a well informed response to me of possibly mudding up the serial loop with series effects devices such as the TC G sharp. ...

Re: Built inside D-lator
This is an intriguing idea. Has anyone actually built a power Mosfet circuit like this and tested it? If so how did it compare to the real deal d-lator? Perhaps this is a bit of heresy in a purely vacuum tube signal path though.

Re: EV SRO Coffee Can with '80s EV12L?
What about attenuating the Coffee can -3db which would have the added benefit of upping its apparent power rating.

D lator EFX, and OT choice
Hello Group, 1. I am building my first Bumble and Dlator out of Vintage Fender Iron, it will be a High Plate 102 and I have a Twin or Bassman 100 OT. Which do you like? I sourced the classic parts and made the PCB already and am using a standard ODS chassis 2. It seems the Dlator is a must have too,...

How well does the effects loop and reverb mix work together?
I am about to depart on a similar project. The donor amp on the bench is a Fender PA 100. I am new to the Dumble forum so I'm going to make the "basic" ODS PCB you collectively have documented so well, and wire it up to get more acquainted with the switching and the preamp. Thanks for the awesome co...
