Re: Real separate channels, how to?
I'm actually hoping for that Dumble sound with the plate driven tone stack. It is essentially an HRM amp with PAB engaged the way I've drawn it. Pretty much how you'd use it I think. So low plate classic for clean, high plate HRM in PAB mode for the OD. Now if I could lose one of the gain pots in t...

Re: Real separate channels, how to?
I use the relay to shunt the input of the unused pre-amp grid to ground. I let the outputs of the preamps fly on the other relay. As long as there is a grid to ground reference, it's noise free. I use a cap and diode for each relay for any fly back pop. Technically the input on my schematic could be...

Re: Real separate channels, how to?
As a long time lurker, you're going to miss that dumble vibe with that plate driven tone stack design. I turned my old Fender Concert 2 into a two channel dumble low plate classic inspired amp that's very much like the last one you built. I had an extra triode and one tube to use so it was an easy c...

Re: HRM tonestack losses
If you got an extra triode, wire two triodes in parallel which will cut the output impedance in half and still retain its character.

Re: Fender PA100 mod
How does the reverb sound the you have it now? The way they have that reverb in that amp is strange. Nice job the way you got it now. I built a fender/marshall two channel amp with the typical reverb and it sounds really good. I used two gain push/pull pots that switch out the bright caps on the gai...

Re: Alternative stack boost...
Nothing terribly new here, but a small variation on the theme that I thought I'd share. Since I never use the rock/jazz switch on my #124 (always leave it in rock mode), I implemented a slightly different version of what others here may call "raw" boost. The goal was to find a boost setting that wa...

Re: Mesa Boogie Mark III - How to get more touch response?
Of course I will. It looks however that I would have to be the guinea pig in this case. I hope that taking the amp out of its case will not be as difficult as my Fender 75 otherwise I may never know. Cheers Stephan For what it's worth, remove any cap from signal to ground. The .001 cap in parallel ...
