I own an original blues deluxe (half triode not used). After the original speaker died i tried a vintage 30 in it and it became a much better amp .Even now that i like that amp much more , probably gonna sell it to fund a BF deluxe rev build . Maybe im wrong but was this not a hundred watter with a bridge rectifer before looking at the original board and now it seems to have a full wave ( don't no if it matters that much)

I prefer to use just low gain input (if you have a high and low input) and volume pot on guitar.

This a cahode biased amp so you might you consider something like a VRM as it allows you to turn the volume down and not loose the power amp distortion. The bonus side is some power amp compression
