I put a 100K to the ground to simmulate overdrive channel load, but have 220v. I will had overdrive channel this week. I'm lust listening Gregor Hilden (red on blue album) that play on an ODS and his overdrive is wonderfull.

Re: My #124 88 skyliner( clean only ) comes to life this evening

Hi, #124 use 3k3, 10K pot and 27K resistors. I change 3k3 to 1k and i can get 34ma now but with pot on max. I'm gonna change it to 470 like Fender and i hope this will be fine.

Kind Regards.

My #124 88 skyliner( clean only ) comes to life this evening

Hi, it's ok, after one week of wiring my #124 is living. It's really the clean tone i was looking for ! I'll put photos and shematics this week-end. I just build clean channel 50w Dumble ODS (2x5881), i never like overdrive (play SRV, Hendrix, P Sayce, J Mayer...). I use Weber transformer for Super ...

Input jack, new idea ?

Hi, is anyone have got the idea before, to put the input jack at the back of the amp ? It will be just aside the 12AX7 (very short wire) and we can shift the pots on the left to have more space for switchs for exemple. What do you think about that ? I'm building a #124 and would like to have bright,...

Re: 40W #124 with 2 6L6GC ?

Hi, can i use light capacitors for 40w #124 ODS ? Is it better to copy the ODS 50W third generation power supply for example ?

I like clean strat tone like Mayer, Hendrix, SRV: Skylinner or not ?

Kind regards.

Re: Remove some AB763 parts and keep the good voltages

steeve_a - "add a buffered effects loop" : this would be cool a parralel effects loop ! I could use my holy grail reverb.

Smitty - On your schematic, why change Bias supply ?

Remove some AB763 parts and keep the good voltages

Hi everybody, I want to build a single channel AB763 (2x6L6) amp with reverb. So i need to remove normal channel and vibrato unit. If i do that and want to keep all the voltages ok, i need to put 2 resistors to simulate the current that this units use. (i think it's the simple way  ). I use th...

Re: 40W #124 with 2 6L6GC ?

Thank you for the link, but i fall in love with ODS clean. Some questions : If i build a #124 with just clean preamp, i don't need B+4. So what to do ? keep all parts between B3 and B5 and not use B4 or replace parts to have B2,B3,B5 ? If i don't want footswitch, can i replace Relay with switch ? Ca...
